Also thanks to the touch screen, shooters can actually belong somewhere other than the PC now. It's a fairly lengthly game the first time through (granted when I got to near the end of the game I spent two or three hours figuring out where to go do a 5 to 10 minute task) and the bosses are often repititions of previous bosses, but it is quite a well done game and the only good shooter on the DS I'm aware of. Unless you don't have a thumbstrap for your DS, because the thumbstrap control is what made this game so enjoyable and easy to play for me. If you like Metroid Prime, there is really no reason to not check this game out. This game has amazing production values and stuff though and is fun !!!) *Lunar Knights* (Part of the Boktai line of games, but there's no solar sensor - an in-game day/night cycle and controllable climate system replaced it.

*Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin* (lol more castlevania) *Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow* (lol castlevania) This was a great game !!! The controls take a bit of getting used to but after playing for a bit they are cool Some of the descriptions are made assuming you know something about the game's quality already (example: castlevania) without needing to be told Games with asterisks around them are the best of the crop IMO I have elsewhere put together a list of recommended DS games so I will share that here ok (it is long sorry) The music in Ace Attorney is just about tied with this. Also, the music is among the best of original DS soundtracks. It's nearly flawless, and it's just an amazing new start to the series. Later on he convinced me to give it another shot, and I've been a huge fan of the series ever since.Īdvance Wars: Days of Ruin is probably tied for my favorite DS game. In fact, I quit the game when I first started playing and then lent it to my friend. I never thought I'd actually enjoy a text-based adventure. Honestly, some of the greatest dramatic scenes and humorous scenes to be found in well, anything.

The two that'd I'd like to emphasise are: Space Invaders Extreme isn't called "Extreme" for no reason.ĭaigasso is also cool, if just for the composing feature. Kirby Canvas Curse is also amazing, in both gameplay, replay value, and presentation. Licensed games can be good from time to time.
